RK Print Coat Instruments and narrow web ink and varnish manufacturer, Pulse Roll Label Products, share the same commitment to designing and developing quality assured products that meet the most demanding requirements of their print customers and their customers, the brand owners.
In a partnering arrangement RK have provided Pulse Roll Label Products with a FlexiProof 100/UV specifically for the pre-press proofing of the company’s new PureTone inks.
Gary Seward, managing director of Pulse Roll Label Products, said: “We are delighted with the market response to our new high strength PureTone ink system launched at Labelexpo 2015. PureTone offers an exciting concept in UV flexo ink technology and many of our customers believe it is the biggest advancement in flexo ink for years and could be a real game change for the narrow web label printer.
“Supported by software and equipment from leading industry suppliers, PureTone provides a label ink solution, satisfying a growing demand for greater colour control and accuracy, ensuring that printers benefit through long term cost savings and that colour standardisation for brands and end users becomes the norm.
The success also highlights the benefits of working in close partnership across the supply chain. In terms of pre-press proofing, our relationship with RK Print Coat Instruments means that we can offer our customers a total colour management package. The benefits of using the FlexiProof 100/UV is that it eliminates press downtime by colour matching off press as the FlexiProof 100/UV is essentially a scaled down but component critical exact version of a full sized flexo press.”
Tom Kerchiss, managing director of RK Print Coat Instruments, added: “Technological advancements in UV inks, coatings and varnishes in recent years have been made easier by the corresponding advances in quality assurance and product development equipment.
“Of particular interest is that devices such as the FlexiProof can be used by everyone in the supply chain, from substrate manufacturer to ink/coating supplier and printer/converter; it can be used as an educational tool to further research into flexo and for operator training and even for the testing/trialling of components such as anilox rolls and doctor blades, etc.”
