Bright future sorted as Stadler UK celebrates 10 years
Stadler UK is celebrating 10 years of excellence in the design, build and installation of sorting plants. Throughout this time, the company has grown from just one sales person in the UK to a dedicated team, completing turnkey installations for businesses including Viridor, J&B Recycling, Avondale Environmental and more
Key to the company’s success to date, according to its director, Dr Benjamin Eule, is the fact the company is ideally positioned to always deliver projects on time for recycling plants. The company works closely with customers that specialise in everything from municipal solid waste, commercial and industrial waste and refuse derived fuel, to paper and cardboard, plastics, packaging, co-mingled waste, construction waste, wood and more. Stadler’s UK office in Ashford, Kent and its service centre in Whittlesey, Peterborough, are backed by its global head office and manufacturing centre in Altshausen, Germany.
Dr Benjamin Eule commented: “Stadler has carved a unique position in the industry throughout the past ten years. We are one of very few businesses that has the industry knowledge and expertise to deliver a turnkey mechanical pre-treatment plant. As both a manufacturer and a supplier, we can exercise greater control over the progress and success of projects, ensuring everything always runs on time for our customers.”
Such an approach has enabled Stadler to play an important role in major projects this year, including AmeyCespa’s Milton Keynes and Waterbeach plants. The company has also provided turnkey installations for C&I and RDF plants for Oakleaf Recycling and a plastics site for Cleantech, formerly AWS Eco.
Recent growth has also come from the service side of the business, with the organisation adding to its service personnel and increasing stock levels at its Whittlesey service centre. This is in addition to collaborating with Stadler Germany and specialist robotics businesses to help develop and test the STT6000 ballistic separator, which prepares commercial and industrial materials prior to robotic sortation.
Dr Benjamin Eule added: “We’ve had a busy ten years but the next ten will be even more exciting, as robotics and automation become commonplace in recycling plants. We are working closely with our global subsidiaries and wider supply chain to continue to design, manufacture, and supply sorting solutions for the future. This is in addition to continually improving the Stadler experience and quality as we adapt to changes within the industry. The next ten years look very bright indeed!”
