ebeam Technologies to showcase cure for personalized food-safe packaging at ICE USA

ebeam Technologies, will exhibit at ICE USA on Booth 1173. Visitors to the stand will learn how the ebeam Compact (formerly known as EID) enables food packaging converters to mass produce inkjet-printed personalized labels and packaging without the food contamination risk from photoinitiators that are required in UV-cured inks.

On its stand, ebeam will exhibit its ebeam Compact, the world’s first electron beam system for curing inkjet inks on Food Contact Materials (FCMs). ICE USA attendees will be able to discover more about the production of high-quality, durable, food-safe finishes achieved through printing with ebeam-curable inkjet inks and inline curing by the ebeam Compact.

Karl Swanson, VP Global Sales, ebeam Technologies, commented: “Converters looking for ways to help their food brand customers differentiate their product through personalization and eliminate challenges such as the need for UV photoinitiators in their packaging should visit us at ICE USA to discover how ebeam technology solves these problems. Food packaging converters are keen to avoid the risk associated with photoinitiator migration from UV inks used on indirect food contact materials. With ebeam, this issue is eliminated because the ebeam Compact provides a compact curing solution for photoinitiator-free ebeam-curable ink jet inks.”

ebeam Technologies designs, manufactures and integrates electron beam technology solutions for global customers and is headquartered in Switzerland with production and engineering facilities in Switzerland and the United States. ebeam Technologies is part of The COMET Group, the industry leader in industrial X-ray, with 65 years of experience in research, development, manufacturing, and scaling.

By mastering the small electron, ebeam Technologies and its partners create big changes: refined and new materials, cleaner processes, and greater resource efficiency.

Visitors to ICE USA 2017 will be able to explore how ebeam technology is revolutionizing food safety and process efficiency at the ebeam Technologies stand on Booth 1173
