From humble beginnings… Hönle celebrates 40 years

This year UV specialist company, Dr. Hönle AG, celebrates its 40th anniversary. It kick-started the year with a birthday party for the Hönle staff.

In the beginning there was an idea which today has developed into a worldwide successful company group. On the anniversary of its 40th year, company founder and chairman, Prof. Dr. Karl Hönle, gave some internal details: In a very amusing way he described how from a three-men company full of ideas around UV technology became a leading UV specialist and stock company with locations all over the world, with UV systems applied in a multitude of markets. He thanked everybody who has helped to make the Dr. Hönle company what it is today.

Dr. Hönle, head of Hönle Group, is one of the world’s leading suppliers for industrial UV technology, specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of UV systems, UV lamps and UV measurement equipment worldwide. The systems are used in the cross-linking of photo-reactive substances, for surface sterilisation and solar simulation.

Hönle products are applied in the printing, automotive, aerospace and pharmaceutical sectors. For years, the company has been very successful in the curing of inks and coatings. Hönle UV systems can be integrated easily into particular manufacturing processes where they achieve excellent results.
