IPEX 2017 opens its doors

IPEX 2017 opens today (October 31), bringing to life its ‘Print in Action’ theme. Visitors have the opportunity to see the latest print technologies and applications. IPEX 2017 features all applications of printing including pre-press, software, wide-format, digital, litho, converting and finishing.

At the show, there are opportunities to interact with exhibitors such as Ricoh, Ryobi and Konica Minolta who are showcasing the latest equipment with live printing and finishing demonstrations giving visitors a chance to experience the potential of print.

“We are delighted to be here at the NEC,” said Rob Fisher, event director. “It’s great to see returning exhibitors such as Apex Digital Graphics, Watkiss Automation, IFS, and Friedheim International, as well as welcoming new exhibitors such as KDX Europe BV who has chosen IPEX to launch its range of specialist film finishes.”

Four conference programmes are running alongside the exhibition, which include: Print in Action, Future Skills, Dscoop seminars and the Smart Directions conference – which includes panel discussions. These programmes are comprised of industry experts who will be presenting a number of topical and thought-provoking issues being faced in the industry today.

Key sessions include: ‘The Future of Print’ with John Carnock, Print Research International, which will discuss managing the personality of an organisation;‘Trade Print’ with Gary Peeling, CEO of Where the Trade Buys, will outline how the company has been designed to make print simple to use for the Smart generation;‘GDPR’ with Helen Beveridge (Circdata), will share the key factors to address in order to become GDPR compliant; and ‘Brands’ with Gregory Bentley, Coca Cola, will discuss the digital print revolution.

IPEX 2017’s ‘Print In Performance’ collaborates with students from the University of the Arts London, London College of Fashion, who will showcase designs incorporating creative, digitally printed, textiles and print capable-substrates.
