Because the GENIUS has a waterless anilox inking system and a single impression cylinder, there’s none of the complicated fine-tuning associated with litho presses – the image fidelity is determined at pre-press (as with digital systems) and ink values and registration are constant so makeready is typically just 7 minutes and run-up waste just 10 sheets.
As well as offering digital houses the perfect complement for longer runs on all varieties of paper stocks, the GENIUS can also print on just about any type of substrate – including plastics, board, labels, lenticular, wood, metal and foils – virtually anything up to 0.8mm thick. Because the GENIUS is a 5-colour press it’s suitable for those blue chip accounts that require special spot colours – it will even print white – and with its integrated UV system the output is ready for downstream processing and despatch as soon as it rolls off the press.
