Kingsmoor Packaging awarded highest BRC grade

Kingsmoor PackagingLeading thermoforming business, Kingsmoor Packaging, has announced that it has been awarded an AA grade BRC certification for its manufacturing site in Somerset. Under the revised issue 5 of the BRC Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials, an AA grade is one of the highest awards that a business can achieve within the certification scheme.

The BRC certificate streamlines the supplier approval process and makes it easier for food companies to meet the requirements of the BRC Food Standard, while also helping retailers and food manufacturers to adhere to their legal obligations.

The standard specifies HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point), good manufacturing practices, plus the hygiene, safety and quality requirements for packaging manufacturers who supply the food and consumer products industries.

Kingsmoor Packaging’s managing director, James Hill, said: “As with all businesses, maintaining a BRC certification involves a great deal of hard work from all employees. Achieving an AA grade shows that we deliver the highest possible standards in all that we do and provides reassurance to our customers that our products are made in a safe, quality minded environment that complies with all relevant legislation.”

Kingsmoor Packaging manufactures food grade packaging solutions in APET, PP and HIPS – as well as RPET, which contains at least 50 per cent post-consumer recycled waste and at least 30 per cent industry recycled waste. With in-house tooling and design, operating in tandem with their state of the art modern production facilities, Kingsmoor Packaging is able to provide customers with a nimble, flexible and cost effective single source service.

The company was exhibiting at Packaging Innovations at London’s Olympia this week.
