Following a successful Q1 Open House, Mark Andy will once again be showcasing its portfolio of technology with the European narrow-web label market.
The solutions-oriented press manufacturer will be exhibiting a wide variety of printing and converting solutions at Labelexpo Europe 2017, Hall 4, Stand C45, September 25-28, consisting of updated standalone technology, new press configuration options, and retrofittable enhancements.
An updated Performance Series P7 platform will be on stand in Brussels, boasting direct servo improvements, a fully automated job register, and a more ergonomic design to elevate operator experience. The user-friendly model will be fitted with a solvent-free lamination system, producing food-grade flexible packaging live for booth attendees.
The show-floor Performance Series model will also be fitted with a new digital retrofit solution, reinforcing the company’s commitment to digital hybrid innovation. Digital Plus Screen, a digital screen-print alternative, gives users the ability to quickly create dimensional, highly opaque prints, without the capital costs, set-up constraints, and extensive cleaning needed with traditional screen printing technologies. Variable Data Printing (VDP) is supported by the retrofit, lending itself to a complete transformation of job mix on full-production flexographic machinery. The Digital Plus Screen delivers high-opacity white print and the ability to personalise a product, meeting the growing market demand for customisation.
This September will also mark the formal Labelexpo Europe debut of Mark Andy Digital One, an affordable, standalone digital label press. Engineered to profitably support shorter run lengths, the hybrid press is capable of digitally printing, converting, and finishing in one pass. Digital One offers 4-color CMYK dry-toner process at 1200 dpi resolution, a multi-purpose flexo station for decorative embellishment, and in-line finishing.
Mark Andy Digital Series will be shown daily on stand with new applications that highlight the award-winning solutions’ hybrid functionality. Leveraging the advantages of digital with the proven Performance Series flexo platform, Digital Series has been recognised as one of the most profitable total-production solutions of its kind.
Showing on the Digital Series during Labelexpo will be an enhancement the company’s QCDC (Quick Change Die Cut) technology. The productive die-cutting module, which also retains a FTA Technical Innovation Award, has recently been updated with flexibility to run in either semi rotary or full rotary mode. The new QCDC-SR adaptation offers advanced die cutting speeds more than 1000fpm (305mpm). Converters are able to utilise existing tooling, thereby reducing die costs.
“We are excited to once again participate in an event that plays such an impact on the industry,” said Tom Cavalco, managing director, Mark Andy Europe. “This year we are especially proud of what we have on stand. The next generation of print is here and Mark Andy is proud to be a part of that transformation.”
