MPS expands with new appointments

Following the recent appointment of Aakon Schüssel as Sales and Marketing Director, MPS is pleased to announce further organisational additions at its new headquarters in Arnhem, the Netherlands. The newly created positions of Area Sales Manager, Printing Consultant and Operations Manager contribute to MPS’ strategic international growth plan.

Sales

01. Anton Zhukov, Area Sales Manager at MPS Systems B.V.New to the MPS sales team is Anton Zhukov assuming the role of Area Sales Manager. With experience in high-end capital goods, Zhukov will support agents and customers in the CIS region. Zhukov’s academic background includes graduation from Russian Economic Academy of Plekhanov in Russia and Hogeschool of Arnhem and Nijmegen in the Netherlands. The most recent position held from Zhukov’s 8 years of sales experience was Area Sales Manager for the international corporation Pentair, supplying customer-specific equipment for various industries.

Printing Consultant

02. Hans Poortinga, Printing Consultant at MPS Systems B.V.With the company’s strategy to share expertise and multiply customer benefits, MPS created a new position of Printing Consultant assigned to Hans Poortinga. Focusing on improving printing processes by identifying the technical needs and requirements of printers and working together with engineering and R&D, Hans ensures the required product and workflow specifications are integrated into the design of next generation and new MPS presses. Poortinga has direct knowledge of the flexo, offset and digital printing industries from recent positions with Athena Graphics and Eshuis, in addition to owning two label consulting agencies Intralabel and IML Expert.

At Labelexpo Europe, Poortinga is presenting during the Label Academy Master Class ‘Conventional Label Printing’ held on Friday, October 2nd.

Operations

03. André Lagerwaard, Operations Manager at MPS Systems B.V.With a focus on lean manufacturing principles of eliminating waste, minimizing inventory and increasing productivity, André Lagerwaard has joined MPS in the role of Operations Manager. Lagerwaard held a similar position at Imtech Ventilex – a Dutch company that specializes in drying techniques and brings over 18 years of combined experience with technical companies. With centralized manufacturing and operations at the new MPS headquarters, Lagerwaard will manage the manufacturing processes involved with the simultaneous build of MPS presses in multiple assembly lines.
