Qualvis set to make KBA Rapida 106 investment

Qualvis KBALeicester-based Qualvis Print & Packaging has recently ordered a KBA Rapida 106 seven-colour press, which is due to be installed in February 2017. Equipped with automation features designed to increase productivity and efficiency, the plinth-mounted seven-colour press with twin coaters expands Qualvis’s finishing options and product portfolio.

The technical features on the press include non-stop and logistics systems, DriveTronic SIS sidelay-free infeed, fully automated plate changers, QualiTronic ColorControl for inline colour control with extensive reporting software, as well as press networking with pre-press and the company’s MIS via LogoTronic Professional.

Qualvis managing director, Jason Short, said: “We are very impressed with the quality and performance of the Rapida 106, which will be used for printing confectionery, distillery, cosmetics and high-end food packaging.

“We have kept a close eye on KBA since our last press purchase in 2012 and wanted to make sure this new press was going to set us apart from the competition and would be a game changer for us.”

Qualvis manufactures a wide range of high-quality packaging for food, beverages, media, cosmetics, confectionery and household goods. The company will be exhibiting at Packaging Innovations at London’s Olympia on September 14-15, 2016 on stand D16.
