Reader award for laminating machine
LAMINATING MACHINE manufacturer Neschen has won a grass roots award for its Seal 62 Base machine from the readers of Wide-Format Imaging (WFI) magazine in the US, which have given it the title of ‘Top Product Award 2010’ in the ‘Laminating Equipment’ category. The readers voted overwhelmingly that this laminator helps their businesses to be successful.
Specialising in protective and mounting films and also roller and liquid laminators, Seal has seen strong growth in the digital printing market whose printed products can be inexpensively protected using the SEAL 62 Base.
“Our laminator is suited to the essential requirements of the graphics industry,” declares Frank Seemann, head of marketing and communication for the Seal brand. “The flexibility, product reliability and quality of our entry-level model help to ensure this. In addition, the easily affordable purchase price makes the Seal 62 Base extremely attractive, I believe.”
The ‘inexpensive’ Seal 62 Base laminator enables high-quality finishing and protective films and double-sided adhesive films to be professionally applied. The high-performance entry-level model has all the necessary basic functions for these tasks. As well as this, Neschen’s roller technology processes pressure-sensitive material up to a thickness of 50mm and at a speed of up to 5m/min. Both rollers are made of silicone with the heat-assisted upper roller (up to 40(C) ensuring a high degree of consistent quality. The maximum working width is 1575mm.
Furthermore, says Seemann, the Seal 62 Base has an ergonomic operating panel and an effective emergency stop system. The two material unwinder spindles offer a ‘user-friendly’ quick-mounting function. For greater ease of handling, the material upwinder is positioned at the top of the machine. The in-feed table can be swung up to make machine set-up as easy as possible.
The Seal brand is sold internationally into the product finishing market and was exhibited at Fespa 2010 in Munich.
The company also showed potential customers its Seal roller laminators, the corresponding protective and mounting films and the innovative liquid lamination process. The liquid laminators and associated equipment are distributed under the AquaSEAL label.
