Ricoh close deal with Direct CD’s at IPEX

The organisers of IPEX 2017 have announced that Ricoh have concluded a deal at the show with Direct CD’s to supply a Ricoh Pro C7100, five-colour digital printer.

Following high levels of customer satisfaction, Direct CD’s customers were asking them for additional digital printing services.

Martin Crowson, managing director, Direct CD’s, said, “Customers were asking us to take on additional digital print, which I thought would be a great opportunity to expand the business. However, I knew I needed some assistance in setting it up.”

Following his appointment, operations director, Fuat Fuat developed new service offerings and workflows to meet its customer requirements. To do this the company would need to upgrade the existing Ricoh machine of five years with a new Ricoh 5 colour Pro C 7100, which enabled the ability to print white, as well as a spot UV varnish.

Martin Crowson added, “Upgrading our machinery with Ricoh’s latest equipment will allow us to meet various other printing requirements of brochures, leaflets and manuals to our current and potential customers.”

“Putting pen to paper at IPEX demonstrates how Ricoh re-enforces our partnership approach with clients. Martin and his team are clearly looking for technology to grow their business. What we do is continue to work with customers to really understand their business challenges and goals, advising on the best equipment to meet their needs. That is what makes the difference,” said Tim Carter, commercial sales director, Ricoh.

Rob Fisher, event director at IPEX, said, “It’s great to see the amount of business being concluded at the show this year. I am thrilled that IPEX has been the centre of engagement for trade, and I am delighted that deals such as this will reflect positively on the UK printing industry.”

IPEX is the UK’s longest running international print show. The event occurred October 31 to November 3 at the NEC in Birmingham.
