Stanley expands CCTV system for paper manufacturer

Following an increase in business and production at Tullis Russell Coaters, Stanley Security Solutions has extended the CCTV system at the company’s Cheshire manufacturing facility.

Tullis Russell Coaters is at the forefront of coated paper manufacturing and film development including high value security coated paper and film used for tax discs, postage stamps, cheques, visa paper and tickets.

With an expansion of the business, the company required its CCTV system to be expanded to cover new areas of the site to protect its high value product and for health and safety – a subject the company takes very seriously.

A comprehensive CCTV system was already in place so Tullis Russell Coaters was keen to ensure that new equipment would integrate seamlessly with minimal wastage. Stanley Security Solutions was able to cost-effectively expand and upgrade the company’s CCTV system by integrating 15 new cameras on to the system and fitting two new DVRs to record both the new and the existing cameras, thus avoiding equipment redundancy.

All work on site was carried out by Stanley under a stringent set of health and safety guidelines – an important consideration with such a large manufacturing site producing huge rolls of paper.
In addition to the installation work, Stanley is providing out of hours monitoring of the CCTV system from its ProtectionNet Customer Service Centre. The Centre is among the largest of its kind in the UK with capacity to monitor over 50,000 customers and recently received the National Security Inspectorate’s (NSI) ARC Gold accreditation. It has the capacity not only to monitor CCTV but also intruder alarms, access control and fire alarms.

In addition to its ARC, Stanley Security Solutions itself is certified under NSI’s NACOSS Gold scheme with respect to the design, installation and maintenance of electronic security systems; these include access control, CCTV systems and intruder alarms.
