The Converter July/August 2016 digital issue is out now!

Converter July/August 2016 issueEditor’s comment: “There’s a little bit of everything in this summer issue, including an interesting insight into the future of the packaging industry and the increasing usage of digital printing that is helping to drive the market forward with technological advancements and a greater ability to produce products in newer and more efficient ways. An expert panel that convened at drupa a couple of months ago outlined sustainability, convenience, personalisation through luxury items and the unison of the paper and plastics sectors as the key factors in the adoption of digital printing to push forward in the industry.

“Across the pond, converters, printers and labelling solutions providers are gearing up for Labelexpo Americas in Chicago in September. There’ll be a whole host of product launches that will hopefully spur new ideas and discussions to help businesses grow.

“Also this month, I caught up with web cleaning and static control giant, Meech, to see how it’s keeping ahead of the game with its latest solutions and what its plans are to develop these further in the future.

“Elsewhere, I had an exclusive chat with two of the biggest companies in the coating and adhesives sectors – Dow and Nordmeccanica. They told me about their new joint venture that combines an ultra-fast curing adhesive technology with a lamination line to enable quicker substrate slitting. The launch of this at drupa created quite a buzz, they said!”

This month’s edition features Delta ModTech. The team talks about its range of versatile automated solutions for the converting, printing, packaging and finishing sectors. As well as this, there’s preview information about the company’s plans for Labelexpo Americas in September!
