UNILUX TO UNVEIL NEW INSPECTION TECHNOLOGY

Unilux, the world leader in the design and manufacture of stroboscopic inspection systems, will unveil new controls for their popular LED2000 series stationary strobes at LabelExpo Europe 2017 in stand 4C68. The new controls enable access to powerful features and capabilities for high-speed surface and print inspection. Setup and operation are simplified by on-screen instruction in various languages.

“For direct observation of defects at full production speed, stroboscopic inspection can’t be beat,” said Mike Simonis, President of Unilux. “From the incorporation of LEDs to smart new controls, there has never been a better time to consider stroboscopic inspection as a highly effective part of an overall solution for quality control.”

Unilux will also demonstrate their complete line of handheld LED inspection strobes. These portable strobes are an ideal compliment to camera-based inspection systems, giving the power to see print and surface quality anywhere on the line at full production speed.

Unilux is the only source for LED UV inspection strobes used to monitor quality of UV-visible inks and optical brighteners in varnish. New LED designs are 10x brighter than xenon, eliminating concern for ambient light. The combination of brighter light, greater choice of sizes, and quick-change batteries help printers to inspect product quality wherever it’s most efficient for their operations.

LED-based stroboscopic inspection systems combine brighter output, more efficient operation and reduced maintenance. The new generation of LED strobes from Unilux provides brighter illumination than the xenon-based technology, as well as lower cost of ownership by using only 35 percent of the power and eliminating lamp replacement and downtime caused by lamp burnout.
